A mixed weekend for KGCC. The 1’s had their game at Braywood cancelled after a heavy mid morning downpour. Bray wood is a notoriously wet ground. However, good to see many of the team at the Club to support the 2’s, who had a fine victory against Hurley 2’s. Having started the day second in the league, this is a disappointing outcome for the 1’s, and may affect our league position if other matches were played.

In the played match, Hurley batted first and were contained by some decent bowling from Sandeep Patel, Matt Sutcliffe,  Jack Patel and Luke Patton, with wickets being shared as we bowled Hurley out for 95. KGCC never really looked in trouble getting the runs for the loss of 3 wickets with Ian Rundle seeing us home with some strong hitting.

The Sunday game had to be cancelled due to lack of players, which an area of the club we need to address.
