The 2nd team, Captained by Jack Patel, finished a creditable 4th in Division 4 in their first season in the Chiltern league. After a shaky start where they lost their first 4 games, they battled hard and won 5 of the other 9 games they actually played, and drew 3 others, therefore only losing 1 of their last 9! Very promising.

What was also pleasing was the number of new players who joined the club this season to play for the 2nd team, enjoyed their cricket, and look set to be longterm KGCC players.

KGCC 2s won the prize for the highest team score in the Division with a score of 286.

Leading wicket takers were Luke Patton (20, including a 6-27) followed by Jack Patel (19) and Sandeep Patel (15 from only 8 matches).

Leading run scorers were Vishal Patel (380, including a 125 n.o.), Ashish Patel (286 including an 89) and Dharak Pandya (203, including a 98). Both Vishal and Pandya were in their first season for the club.

Hopefully next year, with a settled team, the 2’s will push for promotion to Div 3
