Knotty Green had for many years played in the Kookaburra mid-Bucks league. In 2016 we joined a new league, The Chiltern Cricket League, which we believed would enhance playing conditions and standards. we will be fielding 2 teams each Saturday. The 1st team will be led new Captain, Nicholas Patel, won its Division last year and gained promotion. The 2nd team will continue to be captained by Jack Patel, having finished 4th in its Division last year. The Sunday side plays friendly fixtures against local teams. We have a slightly reduced programme this year,  with 11 matches from late April to mid-September. This year we have anew Captain in Andy Irving

Installed at the end of the 2011 season, Knotty Green now has an electronic scoreboard, a real rarity at village level. Some things don’t change however, the clubhouse bar is still the place to celebrate or commiserate after matches. Each year, about mid-season, we hold Club Day, an excuse to get the bunting out and play a good natured game of village cricket between past and present players. Also this year, we are introducing a ‘single wicket’ competition for the first time, which is sure to be keenly contested.

If you would like to get involved at the senior level please contact info@knottygreencc.co.uk or julianrcoppock@gmail.com for details, or just turn up and have a chat.
